South Africa is a very large country which presents a number of destination options. School sports teams touring South Africa may prefer to visit one city only while others may decide to do more traveling and visit a number of cities.
Our service to visiting schools and clubs is comprehensive. We book and confirm every aspect of the touring schools sports tour. This will include accommodation, transport, supervision, excursions, meals, training and games.
Cape Town remains a very popular destination and is the perfect base from which to tour the garden route and even the Eastern Cape. A popular option is to fly into Port Elizabeth via Johannesburg and spend some time in this East Cape city before coaching up the Garden Route and visiting Knysna, George or Mossel Bay before finishing off in Cape Town and returning home.
Most international flights come into South Africa via OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg. As a result it is an option to spend some time in the Gauteng area playing a game or two or visiting a game reserve in Bela Bela before flying down to the coast.
South Africans play all major sports including cricket, rugby, hockey, football, netball, squash, tennis and water polo. Cricket and water polo are played in our summer (October – March) while rugby, football, netball and hockey remain winter sports (April – September).
For your information click on the map of South Africa below which will indicate more on the locations of the cities mentioned above. Below the map find the 2013 academic school calendar which gives some indication as to when our schools are open and available to compete in sports.
