Team-building & Conferencing on Sibuya

TEAMBUILDING

We have recently started teambuilding programmes at SIBUYA for companies or conference groups and were lucky enough to host Cacadu Municipality as our first group. The activities are designed to develop communication, trust, diligence, participation and a little lateral thinking within a team, as well as allowing participants to have a little fun and be competitive. Teams compete in a number of activities which will help develop these different areas of teamwork. To make things fun, teams compete in the different activities to earn points, which ultimately get used to “buy” equipment for their final team challenge. Having the river and a beautiful reserve at their disposal makes team building just that little bit better as there is always the odd game drive or sundowner to end off a great day. The programmes can be run from one to four days or catered to group needs. We have really enjoyed developing this new side to the reserve, with our own SIBUYA staff trying many of the activities. This has definitely made SIBUYA grow even more as a dynamic team! We hope to see our corporate guests participating in one of our programmes soon.

CONFERENCING

With a newly renovated conference venue that can seat up to 24 delegates, SIBUYA offers the ideal setting for small intimate meetings and conferences. SIBUYA is able to accommodate all 24 delegates on the reserve in the four luxury en-suite tents in River Camp and eight luxury en-suite tents in Forest Camp. There is no venue hire fee when utilising SIBUYA accommodation, which is offered to conference groups at a corporate rate of less 30%. All conference packages include: the use of a data projector and screen, flip charts, whiteboard markers, note pads and pens. Additional equipment can be organised on request.

Recent Sibuya Sightings

The following pictures will speak for themselves! Nick was incorrect thinking there were only two new lion cubs… since the mum became more secure about them, they were brought into the open to meet the rest of the family. To the delight of all SIBUYA guests, there are three! These babies are no longer shy and in fact are very brave and daring, coming close to inspect the game drive vehicles and providing amazing photographic opportunities with their antics.

Ella was hugely fortunate to see her very first ANTBEAR (AARDVARK) (Orycteropus afar) and during the day! This was a really special treat as they are generally extremely shy and almost exclusively nocturnal.

Much to our delight, the immature BATELEURS (Tetathopius ecaudatus) are still being sighted on a regular basis on their hunt for food and at rest.
